When: Saturday 14th
OCTOBER, 2000 at 1:00 PM PT (replacing the regularly scheduled
tourney).
Where: www.pogo.com – Social Rooms,
Tournament Room 2
Registration: To register for this
exciting event, create your player name with _LADY or _GENT as a
suffix and e-mail diamond_db at wjcetc@netactive.co.za of your
intention to play and providing your proposed player name. All
ratings must be 1500 for the event. All registrations will be
accepted by e-mail only.
Teams: There will be two teams of
40 players (maximum)
each.
Format:
Each Team member will play two matches for 5 points each, unrated, move
forfeit timer turned off and with all other default settings left in
place. Matches will be restricted to 60 minutes each with our host,
Eggy, deciding any unfinished matches. Winners will
post their win in the lobby for team credit (***me/you @ Table xx***). Do NOT start until the
host says to do so. Your
second round match will be posted in the lobby. In the case of a
tied final team score, the Captains will go head to head in a 9 point
match.
Table Assignments: Will be posted by the hosts
starting at 12:30 PM PT. To ensure an on time start, this time will
be silent in the lobby chat. To whisper to each other during this
time, type /w [space] [playername] [space] and your
message.
Boots/Disconnects: Missing players will have
10 minutes to return to the match. Failure to do so will result in
forfeit. Please do NOT close the match while you await your
opponent’s return.
Kibitzing: You may watch any match in silence unless
invited to chat by BOTH players. Players may mute any kibitzer or
opponent.
IBA Winner Points: 3 IBA Winner Points will be awarded the
winner of each match for this very special event.
Code of
Conduct: This is an IBA Sponsored Special Event.
Applicable IBA Tournament Rules, IBA Host Rules/Policy and Pogo Terms of
Service will apply.
Players must be in Tournament Room 2 as early
as possible, but no later than 15 minutes before the scheduled start or
you will be substituted. Remember the room holds only 100 players. If you come
even as late as 15 minutes before the scheduled start, you may not be able to get in. Once seated with an opponent,
please do not leave.
AGAIN: There must be
silence in the LOBBY 15 minutes before the scheduled start time to enable
the hosts to complete assignments, post the rules and sort out any
problems. Your cooperation will be greatly admired!
