IBA is sooo excited to be celebrating it’s first anniversary with Pogo.com! We couldn’t be satisfied just doing a one day event … noooooo! IBA is going to pack the IBA Tournaments Room at Pogo.com with some of the finest backgammon play on the internet!! We want to give all of the players that have been so loyal to IBA over the entire year a special chance to shine!
IBA Anniversary Marathon
We are kicking off our celebration with 50 hours of continuous backgammon play!!! Starting at 5PM PT on December 1, 2000 and not stopping until December 3, 2000! The Marathon will be held in the IBA Tournaments Room at pogo.com. The format will be 1 point, unrated games. For Event Rules click here.
IBA’s November Top Dog Invitational Tournament
Two changes to the scheduling of our November Top Dog Invitational Tournament! 1) Will be held December 9, 2000 and 2) the event will begin at 7AM PT with sign ins begin at 6:30AM PT in the IBA Tournaments Room! Yep … we need an early start to the day to fit in all the fun! The format will be 5pt matches/7pt final match. Those eligible are the Top 50 in IBA Winner Points for the month of November, 2000.
IBA’s Annual Leader of the Pack Invitational Tournament
On December 9, 2000, at 1PM PT, IBA is inviting all monthly winners of our Top Dog Invitational Tournaments for the past year to our annual dog fight to determine who is the Leader of the Pack for the entire year!!! Sign ins will begin at 12:30PM PT in the IBA Tournaments Room. The format will be 9pt matches/11pt final match.
IBA’s November Tournament of Champions Invitational Tournament
Again, two changes to the scheduling of our November Tournament of Champions Invitational Tournament! 1) Will be held December 10, 2000 and 2) the event will begin at 7AM PT with sign ins beginning at 6:30AM PT in the IBA Tournaments Room! The format will be 7pt matches/9pt final match.
IBA’s Annual Champion of Champions Invitational Tournament
On December 10, 2000, at 1PM PT, IBA is inviting all monthly winners of our Tournament of Champions Invitational Tournaments and the monthly League Winners for the entire year to our Annual Champion of Champions Invitational Tournament!!! Sign ins will begin at 12:30PM PT in the IBA Tournaments Room. The format will be 9pt matches/11pt final match.
IBA’s Annual Bridesmaid Invitational Tournament
On December 16, 2000, at 7AM PT, IBA is inviting all second place finishers in our monthly Top Dog Invitational, Tournament of Champions Invitational and the IBA League to our Annual Bridesmaid Tournament! Sign ins begin at 6:30AM PT in the IBA Tournaments Room! The format will be 7pt matches/9pt final match.
IBA’s Annual Winner Points Show Down Invitational Tournament
IBA is totaling each player’s IBA Winner Points for the entire year and will be posting that total here on our website. The Top 75 will be invited to complete in our Annual Winner Points Show Down Invitational on December 16, 2000, at 2PM PT. Sign ins will begin at 1:30PM PT in the IBA Tournaments Room. The format will be 7pt matches/9pt final match.
IBA’s Annual Player of the Year Invitational Tournament
IBA’s anniversary celebration will climax with the ultimate event of the year!!! The first and second place finishers of the Leader of the Pack Invitational, the Champion of Champions Invitational, the Bridesmaid Invitational and the Winner Points Show Down Invitation tournaments will be invited back to compete for IBA’s Annual Player of the Year!! This grand event will take place on December 17, 2000, at 9AM PT in IBA’s Tournaments Room at pogo.com. Sign ins will begin at 8:30AM PT. The format will be 11pt matches/15pt final match.
These very special weekend events replace our regularly scheduled tournaments. You won’t want to miss any of the action! For your convenience, here is a December calendar that you can print out.
