IBA is pleased to
announce it’s
Summer Time Marathon!!
We are talking 50 hours of
continuous play available in the IBA Tournaments Room!! All players are welcome to
participate that are in good standing with IBA. The player accumulating the most
wins will be the Marathon Winner and will receive a special invitation to our August 5th
Tournament of Champions Invitational Tournament for the month of July!

TOURNAMENT DURATION: Starting at 5 PM PT
July 27, 2001 to 7PM PT July 29, 2001. (This very special event replaces all
of our regularly scheduled events.)
MARATHON RULES:
1. A uniformed IBA Host or Intern will be on duty around the
clock to record your wins. There will be no signups. Just enter the IBA
Tournaments Room and find yourself an available player. You may come and go
from the room as your schedule allows.
2. Choose one player name to be worn for the entire event.
3. Match Setup: 1 point unrated game with no
timer. All IBA Tournament Rules will be in effect for boots, disconnects,
conduct and disputes. You are responsible for confirming the game options
before joining your opponent.

4. Gammons and backgammon’s only count as one win.
5. You may not play the same player two (2) times in a row
unless there is no one else in the room to play AND pre-approved by the on-duty IBA
Representative.
6. You may only play the same opponent a maximum of ten (10)
games during the entire Marathon. You are encouraged to keep track!
7. You will be awarded one (1) IBA Winner Point for every win.
8. The IBA Marathon Winner will be the player that accumulates
the most wins over the entire Marathon.
9. Game winners only report your win in the lobby like this:

The IBA representative will type a confirmation in the lobby that the win post was
received and documented.

The IBA Director has full authority to make any decisions necessary to resolve issues or
problems that occur within IBA events.
